*Sports Descriptions*
Gaelic Football is a fast paced mix of soccer and rugby. Players may advance the ball down the field by: kicking it out of their hands, hand passing it or soloing the ball (kick passing it to themselves). The ball is shaped like a soccer ball and the game is played on an American football pitch with scores made if the ball goes in the soccer net (goal=3 points) or over the uprights (1 point) like American football.

Men play Hurling and women play Camogie, both games are a fast mix of lacrosse and field hockey. Players advance the ball (sliothar) down the field by hitting it in the air or on the ground with a stick called a hurley. Players can also: kick, hand-pass and catch the ball in their hand. Scoring is identical to Gaelic football.
