Dear Potential Vendor:We are pleased to announce the Second Annual St. Brendans Voyage Festival to be held at in the Adams Morgan area of Washington, DC on May 20, 2006. This is a youth and family oriented event. Our purpose is to provide both an educational and entertaining experience for those who attend, and we accomplish this by bringing together the very best in musicians, dancers, storytellers and other performers as well as quality vendors, exhibitions and displays. Vendors are an important part of our Festival, and we hope that you will join us for this celebration. Guarantee your space at the Festival by completing the vendor application and sending it to us today. About the FestivalThey say St. Brendan was the first European to set foot in North America... Since 575 A.D., over 5 million pairs of Irish feet have followed. Join us for an afternoon celebrating Irish culture in America! Our goal is to make this a regular event. Come JOIN THE VOYAGE! The Festival welcomes vendors and merchandise businesses that offer quality products and relevant information. Although we would prefer booths with an Irish or handcrafted theme, it is not required, though the Festival reserves the right to reject any products we feel are not appropriate. The sale of weapons, alcohol, or tobacco is prohibited. The sale of food and beverages or products bearing the Festival name is prohibited without the prior written approval of the Festival Committee. All vendors are subject to approval in order to have a variety. However, early applicants will be given greater priority. Vendors are responsible for collecting and submitting District of Columbia taxes of 5 ¾% on sales of merchandise and 10% on sales of food. Festival DateOur next festival date is Saturday, May 20, 2006. Booth Sizes and DescriptionsThe vendor area will be located in close proximity to music, sports, arts and other activities. Festival booths are available in 10 x 10 (100 sq. ft.) spaces. Vendors requiring larger areas may rent multiple booth spaces. Vendors provide their own tables, chairs, and tents (if desired). Most vendor spaces are partially covered by an overhang. Each tent used results an extra charge for inspection by DC government. If you need a tent, the extra charge applies.
